Privacy policy
Last updated October 4, 2026
This policy explains what Plainspoke collects, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account details you give us (name, email, a hashed password), the drafts you submit and the results we produce, usage records such as how many words you processed, and billing records from our payment processor. We don't receive or store your full card number.
How your writing is used
Your drafts are stored in your account so you can reopen, export and delete them. To produce checks and rewrites, the text is sent to our AI provider over an encrypted connection. We don't sell your writing, use it for advertising, or publish it.
Service providers
We use an AI model provider to process text, Stripe to handle payments, and our hosting provider to run the site and database. Each handles data only to provide its service to us.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms. If analytics is enabled on this site, it may set its own cookies.
Retention and deletion
Documents stay in your account until you delete them. You can delete individual documents, or your whole account and all its documents, from your account page. Billing records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Email contact@plainspoke.online and we'll respond within 30 days.
